Romel Mirville obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 2006 from Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. Romel practiced immigration law at Catholic Charities for several years before joining us.
As an immigrant himself, Romel understands and sympathizes with the concerns of his clients regarding their particular case. Romel puts his personal and professional background to work to help each client realize the immigrant dream to live and work legally in the United States. Romel speaks Haitian Creole, French, and Spanish.
Ellen Whitt is our volunteer legal caseworker and long time advocate for immigrant rights.
Sheila Alvira is a volunteer legal caseworker and an advocate for immigrant rights. She also works as a Post-release and Home study case manager with Accompany Now at the Reformed Church of Highland Park. Sheila works with unaccompanied children who are fleeing their country of origin and arrive in the U.S. without a parent or legal guardian and released to caregivers or sponsors in local communities across the country. Sheila is also a Certified Notary Public in NJ and is fluent in Spanish.
